With a double major in Biochemistry and Secondary Education, I have the subject knowledge as well as the skills to teach it. I am an aspiring high school science teacher. I recently completed a student teaching experience in a chemistry classroom, culminating all I have learned through my undergraduate experience. I have a variety of experiences tutoring both privately and in after school programs. I have also been a writing tutor at the Merrimack College Writing Center for the past 3 years. Science has always been one of my favorite subjects, and I know that it can be difficult for a lot of students. I've made it my goal to not just help students memorize the material for the test, but to understand it and enjoy what they are learning about. I believe I have a unique way of explaining material beyond restating the book. I can make it relatable, relevant, and interesting for learning that really sticks. I have experience tutoring in chemistry, biology, algebra, and in writing. I am available in the North Shore MA area from May 2014 - August 2014 for summer tutoring.
